Jay Torres is a freelance multimedia illustrator specializing in pop culture and commercial illustration.
His work has received national acclaim from prestigious organizations such 3x3 Magazine, American Illustration,
Society of Illustrators, Creative Quarterly, and Communication Arts.
Alongside his freelance projects, he serves as a staff illustrator for The Ringer, contributing to editorial illustrations. His clients
include The New Republic, Hero Complex Gallery, Globe and Mail, Al Majala Magazine, and Umbrella Entertainment.
Jay holds a BFA in illustration with honors from ArtCenter College of Design, where he also teaches. 80s horror film posters
and early illustrators like Maxfield Parrish and Roland Topor have influenced his dramatic, shadowy style.
Aside from illustrating, Jay is also currently working as a Producer and creator for a documentary series about creative
professionals and artists in Los Angeles.
